We live in a world where we have made much progress in healthcare with personalized medication, complex treatments in diagnostics and pharma across different therapeutic areas such as rare disease, immuno-oncology, and long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, etc. While we are progressing along various fronts, when it comes to patient access especially in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region, we work in a very siloed environment. Ideally, it would be worthwhile and relevant to all the stakeholders in the ecosystem to have data points generated from a Patient Support Program to influence reimbursement pathways and various other endpoints, and in turn, enable patient access and adherence.

Healthcare organizations are working to provide support to their patients in areas such as disease awareness, patient education on the treatment, including dosage, side effect management, counselling support, treatment benefits, adherence, financial affordability, drug delivery issues, etc. However, it is crucial to assess each patient’s needs as each patient is unique and can have different needs.
