For patients with drug resistant epilepsy or epileptic encephalopathies, finding an effective treatment can be arduous. Both areas pose unique challenges that require specific subpopulations to be studied. Epileptic encephalopathies are often associated with pediatric developmental issues, making it difficult to tease apart cause and effect. Drug resistant epilepsy, on the other hand, affect adults who have unsuccessfully tried multiple medications. However, by streamlining the clinical trial process and working collaboratively with an experienced partner such as IQVIA, we can help get new therapies to patients who need them sooner.
