Real World Evidence Generation

Through Real World Evidence generation, IQVIA captures information from a large number of hospitals across Belgium to give clients real insights into the presentation of disease and into secondary care practices and costs. This solution, the most comprehensive single source of secondary care information in Belgium, includes all available standardized and structured data from hospital administrative and invoicing systems, as well as electronic medical records (EMRs) and other clinical systems. Use it to:

• Test clinical trial feasibility earlier and faster
• Accelerate trial site identification
• Map patient journeys and disease pathways
• Assess the number of patients by indication and line of therapy
• Estimate treatment duration by indication and line of therapy
• Calculate real-world treatment and disease costs (including costs for treating adverse events)
• Collect endpoints, including clinical trial outcomes

Where necessary, analyses can be enhanced with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Complex and unstructured data (e.g., physicians’ notes) can be accessed using IQVIA’s Natural Language Processing (NLP) tool.
